Will this light work for a bubble tip anemone tank. I would have it at 40% whites and 60% blue.

Depending on depth you may have to run it at 100%
I have used many of these and they do work but all depends on where the anemone is planted or when first brought into the tank it will find its happy spot.

Agreed I'd run it at 100%. I've got an AI hydra 26 over a shallow 21g anemone tank and have it running at 100% blues and whites/other colors at 40%. The hydra is max 90 watts so do the rough math and you can see that the orbit at a max of 36watts should be run at 100% per my experience.

maybe the whites/other colors are 30%....anyway run 're at 100%. If they anemones dont like it they will tell you. Just monitor their behaviour.

How would they act
If the light is not strong enough the anemone will stretch out towards the light. It will expand as much as it can in an attempt to catch as much light as possible.

If the light is too strong it will close up, move to a different location, and/or possibly show signs of bleaching out. Either way it will stress it out and you may experience a shorter life span or even death if not corrected.

so I take it you have this light running over the anemones now? Just monitor them and look for signs of stress, color fading, extreme stretching. You can supplement their diet with silversides, pellets, or other small pieces of meaty foods.
