Hey, guys! I want to add some SPS to my tank, but I am by no means an expert... I'm running a 10 gallon Fusion by IM, and it's a bit on the tall side, and most of my rocks only go about, say 4 or 5 inches up. That leaves about 8 inches of water from the top of the rocks to the top of the water. I have a (gooseneck) AI Prime HD, about 7 inches from the water. So, basically, will there be enough PAR 7 inches down open air and 8 inches down the water? I can also change the height of the gooseneck to about 3 or 4 inches above. Thanks!

Oh, and it's LPS/Softy dominant right now.

Thanks, does anyone have experience with these lighting conditions? UV maxed out or not, etcetera?

I have several SPS frags in my standard 10g and I use an old school AI Prime. It's more than enough to grow SPS. As a matter of fact, my red monti cap is more of a slightly pink monti cap...

Here's my peak settings that run for about 6 hours I think. 1.5 hour ramp up and down. I drop my whites to 0 around 8pm...
