I’m curious to learn about everyone’s lighting schedule for optimal Goni growth. Are y’all using primarily blues/whites or full spectrum throughout the entire 12hrs? I currently use EcoTech XR15 blues gen 6, modified WWC pentagon schedule at 52%.

I use a 12 hour photoperiod with a 5 hour peak ramping up and down on each side. Use a spectrum that is pleasant to your eye. My ramp up/down is more 'blue' than my peak window where it is more 'white'.

Thank you, I will try this out after about a week of my current lighting schedule. How much par do you give your gonis? I bought a few new gonis this past weekend and they haven’t extended out their polyps much. But I’m assuming that’s because they’re trying to acclimate to the new environment

Just noticed the xxx Goni has fully extended its polyps at midnight, lights out. Does this mean it doesn’t extend during the daytime bc the lights are too strong?

My goni's are under metal hallides, I would say that they are flexible for lighting. But I think flow is more important to them, IME they do poorly if the polyps are not waving in the flow.

I have 3 Gonis thriving with the AI Saxby light schedule in my 80 gallon Waterbox. They get about 10 hours of light with 90 minute ramp ups on both ends.
