Hi guys, just wondering if turning on and off both white and blue lights at the same time would stress corals to much.

I noticed that most people turn on their blue lights first and their white lights an hour later. Same thing at night white lights go out first and then blue ones. I keep my moon lights on 24/7

Any one turning both on and off at the same time out there?

Any feed back is well appreciated

Alot of reefers do the blues on then whites to act as sort of a sunrise effect and whites off then blues off to act as a sunset. Is it necessary, no. You can turn both blues and whites at the same time and it won't hurt anything. Its mostly for the effect and aesthetics

My AIO tank I have no choice, though there are separate moonlights that stay on all night. My display refugium I can set to have blue on first/last and I do mainly because I can <g>
