Lights for a Waterbox 110

I’ve purchased a new tank a Waterbox 110.4 tank. For lighting, I’ve purchased 2 AI Prime 16 HD’s. I’m planning on a mixed reef with both SPS and LPS Corals. The coverage of the Prime 16’s is 24”x 24’, the tank is 48” long, 20” wide and 22” in depth. My question is are just 2 of the Prime 16 had sufficient for the tank or should I purchase another light? Do I need to purchase a shade/diffuser as well? Thanks for you insights.

The two AI Primes would be enough for for softies and most lps but I dont think you are going to get enough PAR for SPS. Even on my tank with 2 XR15s, PAR readings arent high enough for certain sps

I am running 3 x Radion XR15 gen 6 on a tank with a similar footprint- and I am planning on LPS and some softies only.

I am setting up the 190.5 and also will be running 3 XR15 gen 6 , I am hoping it will be a good start with maybe a 4th XR 15 added down the road or maybe 2 Kessils to add shimmer.

If I could add a few Kessils for that reason and maintain the super clean look i am looking for, i would! I have 2 x A160 lying in a drawer from a previous tank..

It won’t be enough PAR for SPS. Maybe if you stuck it very close to the top part of the water and right under the light. It’ll be heavily shadowed. LPS are fine in lower light. I’m not sure about the cosmetic appeal of just 2 Prime 16 HDs over the 48” tank, but that’s just me. I just got a 110.4 as well (having issues with the aluminum frame not being level for the tank).

I’d recommend any of the following..
2 XR30s
2 AI 32s
2 viraspectras
2 noopsyches v3 pro
(Any solid double puck)
You could put a 16hd between any of the above for some extra
for more you could throw on an aquatic life or reef brites

I’m doing 2 viraspectras or noopsyches, because I think these other led prices are absurd and I’ve grown SPS colonies with Chinese black boxes for years. To each their own, just my opinion.
