You know I love these lights! I have seen them in action. I'd like your honest opinion...I know you will be honest. Give me the pros of these vs the ai Sol blues. Other than the obvious parts availability.

The Sols are really good lights, even now that they are 7 years old.

These lights have a better range of spectrum to them for one, for two, having tested a Sol recently, I can tell you that these have better PAR at 20" depth. And finally, with a new light comes a warranty.

Just to prove a point about these lights, I have replaced 3 Kessil A360WE with TWO of the K7 pro II.
I will be running a popular AB simulation with a little extra UV thrown in.

I will take pics today and then post pics in a progress thread every Sunday.

These are the front runners for my tank I am currently gathering equipment for. It's a 84x24x24 tank, how many would you recommend, and if I plan to get the hybrid mounts does that change the number needed?

Sorry. These threads don't always update and notify me.

If you are just going to use the K7s then I would use 5 for a a mixed reef and 8 for SPS.

If you use the hybrids, then yes, you will need less LEDs in my opinion.

I would say SPS with 4 to 5 of the K7s and then two 3 foot hybrids.

Can anyone recommend how many lights would be needed for a 24x24x18 tank. It would be a mixed reef. Thanks.
