So I have a question about sweepers. Do they effect like species? Or similar familes. IE will a torch sting a frog spawn? Will acans sting each other? I'm thinking about redoing a lot of my frags to better utilize my scape. And they won't be close right now, but over time with growth and such. They might be a little closer. torches vs torches. Or hammers and hammers.? That type of thing.

Perfect example, I have a green acan and a red acan. I don't want them touching, but if they grew to where their sweepers could reach each other, could one kill the other?

Same species no, different species but same general family yes. For example, torches will sting frogspawns. Birdsnest will not sting other birdsnest of the same species, etc.

I have even had indo torches sting aussie ones

As long as the acans are the same species you should be fine
