Sooo, I’m OOS for a trip and my tank sitter (sister) sent a picture of the blue zing birdsnest on the sand bed (it fell off). How convenient for it to happen when I’m not home lol😭 rip…I’ll be home approximately 30 hours from now. (Light is ramping down for the night in the picture)

Should be fine. Just get her to put it up where nothing is touching the alive polyps, and if she can, just to cut off the alive portions.

Assuming it was healthy before this, I’m sure it’ll be fine.
My LFS always has living broken branches of birdsnest covering the egg crate in their grow out tub.. haha

I just realized, the portions that are completely white are where the skeleton fell on top of a neon green mushroom directly underneath. Poor thing
Yea birds nest especially are quite sensitive to other corals touching its polyps.

Can’t see the video but glad it survived. I wouldn’t put terrestrial cut the white if it is still there as the polyps don’t really encrust “down” with birdsnest

Somehow, some parts of the white still have polyps attached. I assume there’s still a chance for it to color back up right?
