I’m betting most tanks can get by with Kalk if enough vinegar is added to the mix. I’m currently using 80mls of vinegar per gallon, nothing disastrous going on.

You are using Kalk I assume so have you hit the evaporation limit? I add a little mag in my waterchange mix to get over the magnesium obstacle. You got a pic of the tank?
