3D printed light shades worked for me it’s not 100% but it definitely helped

In order of effectiveness to lower light spill

1. Enclose the top of your tank in a hood blocking any light spill.
2. Get light fixtures with narrow beam to focus light into tank instead of having half the light output spill everywhere
3. Mount your light lower, get light shades
