Hello tankers,
I’m using Dr Tim’s to cycle the tank with established life rock that brought over merry limpets.
I noticed that all limpets disappeared from everywhere under waterline. Rocks, bottom glass, tank walls except above w l or running up straight to surface.
I wonder what is the thingy in DrTs bottle that made limpets just evacuate?
Serious question

That mast be the thing. I’m sure I killed off bunch of bacteria when holding rock for a week with temp swings 60-84.
Plus new water addition 75%.
Except they were fine for 24 hours BEFORE i added DrT.
Also, I’m treating 93 gallon system with full 8oz bottle that is for 120.
It says on the bottle you cant overdose the the tank. I figure more is better. Testing

The Dr.Tim's won't hurt, probably help get through the ammonia cycle. If that is the problem. I suspect it is.

I’m not worried about it. Tank is 3 days old. I just noted how fast they reacted and figured bottle was good not expired.
Something in the cycle set them off for sure.
