Well I had to go for it today. Ripped the scape apart was not exactly in my plans but I figured if I had to do it I was going to change a couple things while I'm at it. It all started with trying to catch the remaining fish in my system to put into a hospital tank and go fish free for 100 days to prevent future parasite issues. Im already dealing with flukes and itch on my fish. I will say the plastic bag method worked for all but one fish! I stuck grocery bags into every cave and crevasse to stop them from being able to hide and was able to remove all but one fish. Hard to break apart a few rocks to get after an adult orange line chromi. Here is a few photos of the chaos.

pre destruction. No one like ripping into rocks with encrusting corals.

All fish captured and a couple base rocks removed. oh boy no turning back now.

The main rock with 13 of my corals on it shoved into my frag tank while I was catching the last fish. Luckily only managed to have to break my encrusting bubblegum digi base and only made 2 accidental frags of q couple of my other acros.
