So I saw a few bubbles on my live rock today is that something to be worried about? Not sure if you can see it in the pic but just near the bubble tip there’s around 10-15 little bubbles
Any help appreciated

Hard to tell but looks like gas exchange to me. Totally normal. Sometimes you’ll see bubbles going up to the surface from the rocks too. The other source could be from a power head that cavitated and blew a burst of air bubbles in that direction and that’s just where they accumulated. Or same idea only from a water change dumping water in from the top of the tank. Either way I wouldn’t worry about it.

Regular algae also creates bubbles, could just be that. Dinos are usually red/brown and slimy looking - definitely keep an eye on it and watch out for stringy tendrils.

Micro bubbles and not uncommon in newer systems. Fan away with turkey baster and see how long it takes to return if they do

Old post but similar issue. I fan away with baster and back within 30 min. Definitely just looks like oxygen bubbles. Nitrate 12, PO4 0.14

Suggestions?

Life rock. Is this something to get ahead of or no biggie?
life rock is NOT liverock, its essentially fancy looking dryrock. bubbles are a normal part of algae releasing oxygen (normal and fine) just keep an extra eye on it to make sure its not something that could be annoying.

Doesn't really matter if it is live rock or not.....algae as it grows can release oxygen bubbles regardless of the surface. It is part of the photosynthesis process.

Could be Dino’s if the tank is under a year or so. That’s how they start. Well at least Ostreopsis. Make sure your PO4 isn’t completely depleted or low.

I just noticed this in my tank phosphates are at .11 though… nitrates are low. Normal or dinos? I just fought dinos last week…. Ugh

Did you ever figure out what caused it? I’m going through the same thing!right now. I transferred into a bigger tank and added more dry Rock and some other white rock and I’ve got tiny air bubbles all over some of the rocks I added with that green algae
