Has anyone tried putting little neck clams that you buy from grocery store into there tank or refugium ? Thought might be good for eating bad stuff out of sand bed. Any thoughts ?

I believe those clams are better suited for cooler temps. I've seen some posted on eBay but I haven't tried them yet.

I work in a seafood market, all our little neck clams are refigerated to keep them alive, I doubt they would live in an aquarium unless the water was kept at around 40 degrees

When I had an Octopus I used to feed little neck clams. I bought them from the grocery store, and they lived happily in the tank until devoured. I really do not think they would make difference in nitrate and phosphate levels, long term they have to have fine suspended particulate matter to live so it's really not worth it ime.
