Live rock how long???

How long does established rock have outside of water before things die?

I’d like to pull it out, glue on a bunch of new rock for a better aesthetic/hanitat/display real estate, and put it back into a new tank.

Or, is that fruitless? And I’d be better off getting fresh dry rock, doing my scape and adding say 5-10 pounds of Tampa bay or gulf coast live rock?

This tank will be bare bottom if that makes any difference.

So like Maybe a sprayer filled with saltwater and I could work on it “indefinitely”?

Just glue it all in place inside the tank.
