Im doing a 40 breeder and my plan is to have 40 lbs dry rock in a display and 10 lbs of florida live rock in a 30 gallon remote refugium.

I plan on having the extra water volume in the refugium set up right way, but i was not going to add chaeto right away. Should I have the refugium light on in the beginning? Will there be further coralline die off with no light?

For the charro, light not needed until charting introduced. Assure there is water movement and iron in the water for the chaeto

Thanks. Will the flow from the return be enough or should I add in a small powerhead?
