Hi folks. I have a 13.5 gallon nano tank and some hair algae is getting out of control. Outside of scrubbing it, what livestock would help bring this in control or at least keep it at bay if I were to assist via scrubbing?

I want to get a lawn mower blenny, but I realize the tank is too small longer term. Happy to return to the LFS when the job is done, but still need something else to maintain.

Thoughts? Thanks a lot for the help!

Sea hare would probably clean that up in no time.

Wound need to find somebody to give it to after though.

Also, any idea why you got it?

In a tank that small i would just use a toothbrush to knock it down when i do a water change. I would get a couple small trochus snails to help between brushings.

honestly you're at the very beginning of algae growth. A good cuc is part of keeping it at bay, but it won't solve the algae completely. Best is to understand why the algae grows, and how to manage and control it.
