Hello,
This is my orange glitter lobo
This is my jerk cotton candy torch who sometimes makes very long sweepers
I thought the lobo would be ok there because my flow is to the right and the sweepers didn’t look long enough to touch the lobo
Well turns out this torch can make very very long sweepers
They coexisted for a few weeks and then one night I check the tank and the torch sweeper is connected to the lobo. I grabbed tongs to disconnect and the sweeper broke and was stuck to the lobo. I removed the piece with plastic tweezers.
The attack happened Feb 10. Lobo was immediate moved to a frag rack and became very pale over the next few days and then lost all the orange color
It’s now been over a month and the lobo has no sign of tissue damage. It opens every day, I feed it, but the color has not come back aside from a outer ring at the bottom
I’ve had it in the frag rack I was growing it in before moving near the torch so I know it likes, or at least liked this spot. Now I’m wondering if due to the bleaching, should it be in much lower light to regain the color, so I moved to the sandbed under this green shelf
Will this guy ever regain color? Is low light the right move? How long should this take if it was to color up?
