I had this button scoly about 2 inches away from my lobo for about 6 months with no issues. Last week I woke up and it looked like the lobo casted mensentrial filaments from the side/underneath the coral. I should have taken a picture because it looked kind of neat, but I was focused on separating them.

I’m hopeful that it’ll recover. May take 6 months but I’ll document the progress.

Some corals definitely don't play around o_O

They also have no difficulty attacking trachys from a centimeter away.

Moved from MN to TX a month ago and tore down the tank. :(

For the last 4 months or so it was in my sump because a matted file fish was picking at it.
