My LFS called the other day and asked if I would lend a hand moving a tank. That is a normal request so I said sure! Turns out his plan was a little more complicated. We moved a 280 gallon tank/stand/sump/setup and all the water needed into our local expo hall and set it up for a 3 day home show!

Here are a couple photos of things going together:

I thought it was a cool way to expose more folks to the idea of putting a big fish tank into the house. Those who follow YouTube fish people might recognize the tank as well.

Here it is with fish in it:

Obviously the rock in the system was prep'd for this for the last few months along with all the other planning that went into it but it really turned out well.

Rumor has it, your build thread on another site was poofed into oblivion.

It is neat. I'll let you know how much I like it at 5 today when I'm draining it and trying to catch 46 fish.

Yea, 7 years and 100k+ messages of build thread got poofed over yander. At least I didn't attach a bunch of images. Just the discussion and learning that I hate to see gone. Hopefully someone will unpoof if as it was just a misunderstanding.

I failed at setting up the go-pro for tear down but in 2.5 hours that 285 gallon tank was drained and gone, and 45 fish were back at the store and all the coral too.

Success!
