Hi so I recently purchased a gold stripe maroon pair it was eating really good when I brought it home but my qt tank was small so I decided to get a bigger tank and I switched them into the bigger qt tank and the fish was still eating a day later it just been going to darker spots and not eating anyone knows what could it be could it be just stress?

Could be stress but I would say unlikely. Your Clown is on the bottom and that's not normal. They are usually bold fish, and he should be swimming around. Since you already have him in QT I would begin CopperPower or Coppersafe and put them both in. I would also separate them in you QT with some Eggcrate unless they were paired. They are one of my favorite clowns but are mean so beware if you have other fish in your DT and watch your fingers. I could also be the beginnings of Brook so you may want to get a bottle of Ruby Rally Pro.

Thank you yeah these are wild caught gold strip maroon and they were pairs when they were caught just not being as active

I love these clowns so much I don’t want to lose them especially how hard it’s to pair maroons too

The eating for a day and then slowing/stopping indicates that something has changed for them.
The first thing to do is test the water quality parameters, especially ammonia, to ensure that isn’t the issue. Ammonia should be less than 0.25 ppm
