I'm weighing my options on which to keep in my aquarium. I love long nose hawk fish. I think they're awesome and I've wanted to keep one forever.
I'm also somewhat interested in keeping cleaner shrimp. From what I gather the two can't really exist in the same aquarium. The fish might decide to have a shrimp cocktail.
I find shrimp a bit creepy looking. I've researched gobies and shrimp and their friendship, which seems very cool
What are the pros and cons of both the lnh and the cleaner shrimp?

i have had a blood fire shirmp 2 of them hid constantly never saw them and 2 cleaner shrimp these are out and about there pretty cool if you put ur hand in the tank they will jump on you and start climbing about you can't comment on the hawk

If you get the Longnose Hawkfish, your instincts are correct... think of any shrimp you might buy as just expensive, tasty hors d'oeuvres!! Lol. I also have had shrimp that have proven to be a little disappointing, when they just hang out behind or under rocks and only make their move into view when it's feeding time. It sounds like you've always wanted the Longnose … I would go with that. They are indeed cool!
