If you are looking to manually split an LTA you will most likely kill it, LTA's do not naturally split like a BTA does.

I have heard you can split anemones, but only certain species are recommended. Some are more difficult to care for. Not sure how LTA do.

I would never recommend splitting an anemone manually. The only anemones that I have seen to be split successfully this way are e.quadricolor (bubble tipped).
