hi just added a long tenteckle nem on sunday and my maroon clown is fanning the sand around it clown is only 2 inches big any thougths on this please

Clown fish have to build up the protective coating before they can enter the anemone without being stung, this requires brief periods of exposure to the anemone.

its already hosting the nem its fanning the sand around it when it goes into looks like a whilpool when its fanning the sand

It will be OK. This clown just might prefer to sleep under the anemone.Once he gets his house the way he wants it, he will leave it alone.

have i to just laeve the sand alone or should i puch it back as its fans in differnt place around the the nem

Chances are if you put it back, he will just dig it out again.Has the anemone dug himself and attached yet? (They will dig down and attach to a large rock at the bottom of the tank)

yes it dug down and latched on to base and peice of rock
