Hello All!
My name is Matt and I've been reefing for about 15 years. Mostly it's been smaller tanks but I decided a few months ago to get myself a new to me red sea max 500. I also got my son a 280 gallon to home a 12" banded bamboo shark. He's a shark nut and goes to many camps and has made friends with a few marine biologist and loves the ocean. Her name is Jolene and she is a very happy healthy hungry girl. Currently ramping up the stocking and coral on my red sea max 500 and one of the reasons I finally posted on the forum is because I need a little advise on how to handle a vendor. I bought a large amount of frags from aquasd(I hadn't bought from them in years and it went fine but now that I'm having issues and looking up threads I see that many have had problems.) I had an order from thier website and ebay at the same time so contacted them about combined shipping. They set that up and I had a ship date. When I picked the order up it was only the ebay order included. Even the shipping packing list only had the ebay order, but on their website it said the whole order shipped. So I contacted them and they requested pictures. Took a picture of all the coral, the packing list, the box that was way too small for the other order. They agreed they messed up and said they would ship it out the following week on Monday(yesterday). I received no email or tracking number so I tried contacting them all day and only get voicemail and no response to my email. Finally later that evening a guy called and said they would ship it out that evening. Well here we are again...I was sent no confirmation email or tracking info and by the time they actually open up...pacific time and I'm in Texas it will be around 1pm and that coral will be nice and cooked. I had it sent to a fedex holding facility because I live very rural. At this point it's gotten ridiculous. I'm not only mad about the lack of communication and the lack of follow through on what they say they are going to do but the ebay shipment was crap. Nothing looked like the pictures...like not even close and 3 of those 11 items were DOA. At the time I chalked it up to crap happens and let it go, but with the combined terrible customer service I've experienced I believe this is may just be how that operation runs. So I took my only recourse I could think of and filed with the bank that i never received my order and sent them a copy of the email where aquasd said they were going to ship it and never responded. Does anyone have any other suggestions on actions I should take? The website order was much larger than the ebay one and quite frankly was a very large sum of money to me that I could barely afford to let loose. I really appreciate any help/suggestions and am proud to be part of the community.

Thank you
Matt

Greetings, Matt and welcome to the reef! I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this vendor. Unfortunately, that is fairly common issue with AquaSD. My best advice would be to continue to bombard them with emails and phone calls. Document, document, document. If it persists, put a stop on the payment and submit your evidence to the bank / card company. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us posted.

Little update. Received a call from the fedex hub around noon saying they had a package for me and that it was leaking badly. Got alot of grief when i went to get it because I dont have a tracking number but they finally let me have it. What a mess.
