Looking for a Fish from Hawaii

I have been looking for a Heniochus Diphreutes for approximately 2 years now. I bought one September of 2016 from Live Aquaria. That one did great in my reef tank until September 18 when it jumped out of the tank. I didnt know they were jumpers. I got a top on my tank now and i am ready to buy a few of them, they are schooling fish! I have been on all the email alerts since I got the first one and I have not seen any come in stock since 2016! I am looking for one from Hawaii as they are the only Heniochus native to Hawaii. Does anyone know how I can source these fish?

Divers den has had some recently. I’d check with Pacific Island Aqua. I know they bring in Hawaii fish

I believe the Heniochus on Divers Den were Accimatus. They are not reef safe! Ill keep an eye out though. I will also contact Pacific Island Aqua.

All saltwater fish are jumpers, there are some that are more prone and others that are less prone. An open top is just an accident waiting to happen so I recommend getting a lid on that tank if you don't already have one.

I've made a thread about this fish before, nobody seems to really know why they aren't more available. They seem to instantly sell out on DD. I've asked a couple LFS about them and they don't seem to care. Seems like it'd be an amazing fish for a reef tank, beauty of butterflies without the whole mowing down coral downside

I completely agree. They are overlooked. They are Hardy and readily available in the oceans. Hopefully the message gets out to the collectors!

They were selling them as the schooling banner Fish. I’m pretty sure they had them listed as Diphreutes
