Kessil just came out with their fuge light.
A80 Tuna sun or something or other. Comes with a gooseneck to I believe. Pretty sure ReefBuilders just did an article on them.

JDJP, do you have a photo above the mangrove tank? I've wanted mangroves but am not keen on adjusting light as the mangrove grows (to the detriment on things growing in the tank)

Ive had these for about a year so you can see how slow they have grown. I my try to top them or tie them down.

i have that... it's a beast!!! grows cheato like there is no tomorrow!! the only thing is the fan, a bit noisy... but other than that great lamp!

When I do get it I'll be running the light opposite the main tank, so the noise shouldn't be an issue, hopefully!

So the legs can adjust smaller than the length of the light?
Yeah, so they slide on a track along the light frame. Then you can tighten them with plastic screws (included) to lock them in place. I usually just slide the insert "hooks" on top of the rim and don't even bother tightening. The hooks look like this, but you'd just flip it down to sit on top of the rim |_|. It has about 3/4in space and is intended to lock onto the thick part of the rim, but sit on that little bit that hangs over the water.

I plan on using this....

Magnetic tuning function for getting color is a little wonky, but I am a big fan of LED and the fact it is submersible helps me sleep better at night. I only need 1 for my fuge, which is hopefully going wet next weekend for cycling. fits great on the side of my trigger sump, and spectrum is adjustable, blues to Reds, although I have yet to hit is with a Par Meter. I will add a photo later tonight. Obviously depending on the size of the fuge you may need more than 1.

Hey gang!

Looking for a refugium light that has a gooseneck and will attach to the side of my sump.

Don't want to break the bank for this but looking for something that looks decent too.

Suggestions?
Take a look at a Deep Blue Solar Flare. Mine was under 50 and is a awesome light! I think it's just what you are looking for.

Look up LED grow lights on Amazon. They have a crazy assortment of options. I found a small one with gooseneck for $15. Someone mentioned HPS but they are only for flowering stage of growing. Plants start under MH in hydroponic grows.

I have one of these and have had success with it growing chaeto well. I didn't check the price of all the other suggestions so not sure if it's in the ballpark for you or not price wise. I don't have the light going at the moment as I'm in between tanks but likely will try to incorporate it again with the new build.

Amazon Links:

Gooseneck Arm - Works well with rimmed 55 gallon sump. Easily poseable and mounts securely. Has it's own on/off switch.

36w LED Grow Bulb - Typical Red/Purple spectrum seen in grow lights. Grows Chaeto great.

Total Cost: $56 + tax.

Thanks for all the input. I order a couple of the ones mentioned above to try out!

The best that i have tried is a 6" clip on shop lite form lowes with a 60 watt LED bulb (about 8Watts) total cost $15.00 works great rocks and plants all have growth. I leave light on the entire time the tank lights are off
