Hey gang!

Looking for a refugium light that has a gooseneck and will attach to the side of my sump.

Don't want to break the bank for this but looking for something that looks decent too.

Suggestions?

You had me until "goose neck". :( LOL
You've seen my Marsh Hydro 300 grow crazy cheato but you have to hang it from something. Great value at around $80 too.

IMO, anything that is considered a "full spectrum grow light" and used by the marijuana industry is going to be a killer fuge light.
HPS is an awesome way to go too, and more feasible when you have a fish room (due to more heat).

The small daylight flood bulbs people use may be ok, but they won't penetrate like the big boys do once that stuff gets thick.

LOL! Thanks for the suggestion! Looks like a nice light. I could fix a mount off the wall I guess. Just have to figure out the best way.

With gooseneck pretty much your only option is one of kessils hortulux pendants. If you can swing across the top of your fuge. Finnex planted +24/7 are awesome fuge lights for about $80.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That gooseneck is awesome! But the par38 config I am not a fan of. 10 red to 2 blue would be a much better ratio for chaeto.
I actually like the 8 red to 4 blue since I also grow red gracilaria algae in my fuge. It does well with a little extra blue.

Not sure what your overall budget for the light, coralvue has the celestial c35 for $150 with the gooseneck. If it is a smaller (less than 18"x 18") fuge area I have been very happy with my Eshopps fuge light - no gooseneck though, it just has a plastic set screw to hold onto your sump/fuge.

Amazon Links:

Gooseneck Arm - Works well with rimmed 55 gallon sump. Easily poseable and mounts securely. Has it's own on/off switch.

36w LED Grow Bulb - Typical Red/Purple spectrum seen in grow lights. Grows Chaeto great.

Total Cost: $56 + tax.

I like the finnex light. Used to use it over a freshwater and got decent growth. The SE version of it has the "growth spectrum" including higher output of 660nm. This version is new to me, so might be a little more expensive. Finnex also makes goose neck clamp on lights

I use a Marsh Hydro 300 which was already mentioned above. But it's not a goose neck. You could build a goose neck out of wood or metal and hang it. Has worked great for me and makes my garage glow like windows in a red light district. ;)

Would that work on an acrylic sump with the bracing around the rim?

Is the smallest length 20"? I think my sump is 18 " wide, would the legs fit?
