I know you didn’t ask this, but I’ve used both in a high flow area of my sump in a bag. You can find really cheap bags on Amazon these days. Tossing bags is a lot easier than reloading reactors IME.

I think the efficiency argument (less efficient in a bag vs reactor) is not strong for me because I want both to work slowly.

A valid point. I considered this option too.

I dislike the thought of adding a pump, would the BRS GFO & Carbon Reactor - Dual work on a 1/2 pvc manifold to gravity feed?
I'm not sure a gravity feed would be enough pressure. If the manifold was being fed by a pump and it still had pressure, you could.

After getting and installing this kit, I find one thing that is missing. That is any 90 degree fittings. The supplied hose is extremely stiff. I had to order some fittings from BRS. Maybe optional fittings to add to the kit in checkout.

Wanted to give ya some more Ideas, I have the 5" also from BRS. I purchased 1/2 thread to 3/4 barb fittings. I use unions to swap between whatever I want to use.
(Ill be reinstalling the sponges, my smart self put them in both at once without paying attention, SMH.)

Manifold is fed by the return pump. Right now, I use the 1/2 line for water changes, but I am thinking about connecting my dual chamber reactor to it

I own the larger dual reactor already, but I do like the idea of the unions
Thanks for the idea and impute

I am looking for a small sized reactor to use gfo or carbon.
Mounted on the side of a small sump or inside the sump.
Total water volume is about 70 gallons.
Looking for maybe a complete kit with a pump included.
I have a old phosban 150, but I'm looking for a smaller size.
look at fluval canister filters you can add whatever you want
