Know of any places breeding Black Saddle Backs here in the southeast? If there's somewhere close, I'd like to go pick them up. I'm in North Alabama.
Or if any R2R sponsors that breed them. I'll mail order if I have to.

I would like 4 for a 120 mixed reef.

A mixed pair would be great, but I don't know if I feel lucky enough to mix breeds. 2 saddle backs and 2 nakeds would be ideal..or 2 yellow percs.

Why do you want 4? In time a pair will form and they won't take too kindly to the additional clowns in the tank.

And to be clear, you are looking for black A. polymnus?

Like... (( which I no longer have ))

I was going to move 2 if there was a problem after they paired up. When I did a search, people said they did well with more than 2. I though the black saddle backs were the more common ones, but it looks like I'll only be able to find 2 anyway.

They're the amphiprion polymnus. I prefer the black with yellow instead of the orange. But any black ones will be ok if I haven't found any in a month.

They tend to be fairly aggressive and see nothing but issues with more than 2. Heck, people tend to have issues just pairing 2 of them.

Yeah, the brown ones are more common -- though as a whole A. polymnus aren't super common. Mine were tank raised, but I am not sure where my LFS got them from, but next time I am there I can ask.

I keep hearing people say the black ones they have are docile. Maybe they were talking about a different breed. I currently have a single from a LFS. Maybe he had a paring issue.

Pure Reef in Atlanta can get me some type of black ones, I just won't be near their shop anytime soon. They pick them up from the breeder themselves.
