Found a tank on market place I’d like to buy just need someone to help me load it. I’ll pay. It’s around McHenry. I can be flexible on time. Shouldn’t be hard main floor 120g 4x2x2

Get yourself a few pairs of these.

Amazon product ASIN B09H5KQZ4C
They will make your move easier and more secure. Good luck finding a few people to help you. If I were in your area, I’d lend a hand.

If yiu can’t find anyone, call around to some LFS. Sometimes they will help you out, but likely would be a few hundred $$$ depending on how many people you needed and for how long.

Call your LFS or a local collage. Either would be willing to help for a few bucks or dare I suggest a six pack of soda pop. The glass handles are a good idea, I know my local Harbor Freight store has them, they are inexpensive and well reviewed:

Good luck!

If you do go the LFS route, I will share a secret that worked for me and may work for you. Since I knew I was going to be buying a lot of stuff anyways, I asked the LFS if I were to buy a large gifts certificate for their store if they would throw in the saltwater for free. Lo and behold they did.so you may be able to do the same with their labor for the tank move. Win win for the both of you. You buy a gift certificate for their store, make some good contacts, and help out a place that you most likely would have bought from anyways. And you get your tank moved for free or at a good discount.

All they can say is no, in which case they may not be the LFS you wanted to deal with anyways.

As I did- call a moving company and request a flat rate for labor only. I paid $80 for two strong guys
