This came in my LFS about 2 months ago unlisted. No one seems to know what it is. It looks like a lobo but it lacks a big calcium skelteon. This 5" beast is almost all soft tissue. Some have said it looks like a cynarina but this specimen has 5 mouths. It has tentacles much like any other brain coral. Anybody think they might know what it exactly is? Either way i really love this coral, its body continues to turn more and more purple, while the little knobs have remained flurescent.

Nice LPS. How does it compare to Symphyllia agaricia? I like the texture:).

It looks like them. But this coral does not have the same type of skeleton which is whats really throwing me off. It's like all flesh.

yea they did come i on our aussie order I'll get exact name for you when i get home there a lobo forsure but carpet is just a generic name they use on there list and I apologize it escapes me now lol.

I appreciate you trying to help out. Its just for my curiosity as to what it is. It's really beautiful and its been nagging at me to find out what its called. Thanks for the help.
