Hey, not sure what kind of light you're wishing to have? t5 or led?

Was thinking viperaspectra
I have vipar over my 75gallon tank and I will say it will grow corals and it's not hard to program. Issue I have with it is, you have to hang it pretty high as those lights are spotlights. Another option you could do is odyssea t5 over the tank but t5 bulbs do age out and use a bit more power (not enough to me to really matter over 1 tank) Hope this helps. If it were me I'd see if I could land some second hand noopsyches soon as the v3 is coming out so people may sell off their v2s

few of my corals, they're fine with the vipar if that's what you want to do.

That’s what I was thinking but I don’t know about mounting to high I think it would have a lot of spill
yeah I wouldn't hang it no less than 12inches over the tank. Honestly not sure what spill you'd have on a 40B maybe one of the smaller ones would be better. but feel you'd miss out on the amount of leds needed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2936552930...rentrq:a15e916c1790a4d4b7bb2008fff22246|iid:1 the 36in fixture is the one I was talking about for t5s the bulbs it comes with are "okay" but better if you swap them out.

not pushing anything on you was just approaching this conversation with someone who may be not wanting to spend 500$ a light
