I am building a new setup. It is going to be a 150 gallon system with emphasis on sps corals. I am trying to decide on a return pump. I was thinking of getting 2 of them, one for each return, in case one breaks the tank will still run. I was looking at the various 2 model but I am open to suggestions. Thanks again.

Redundancy is always a good idea. Two pumps are also a good idea if you plan to utilize a manifold now or down the road.

Also, as for the make/model….

A lot of that would depend on if you plan to do any automated control and if you do, which one? Some pumps play better with specific controllers.

VarioS return pumps would go with the hydros controller platform.

Ok. That’s good info. I will run a controller most likely down the road to monitor tank while gone. Not sure yet.

I just started looking at the jebao pumps as well. Heard good things about them.
