Hi Everyone- I’m considering getting a Trident NP and looking for reviews from people who have or have used one. The reviews out there are mixed, especially because of the phosphate results. However, I noticed a trend with these for users who seem to run really low nutrients. I tend to run a little higher, with nitrates of at least 6 and phosphate’s between at least 0.05 and 0.08, sometimes up to 0.10. Has anyone had issues with the NP that run slightly higher nutrients?

I bought an NP in September. I’m on my third unit that still does not work. I have been going through troubleshooting with Neptune this entire time. Nothing has worked yet. It’s a slow process designed to run you out of warranty. My phosphate with Hanna checker is above.05 to .1 normally. The np says zero. This last test was to use neophos and test water with phosphate at .24. Still read zero. Calibrated it a different way using the test water. It should read .24 +/- but it reads .12. Half of what it was calibrated at. I highly recommend not getting one unless you enjoy frustration. Definitely are not accurate and they don’t work. That’s my experience with one.

Thanks for the feedback on how it has worked for you. Knowing you keep your phosphates in the same range I do and still have the same experience is making me rethink investing that kind of money.

Not to negate what the gentleman stated, don’t make a opinion on just one person
