Looking to Stock 8.3 Gallon Cube

Hey all, I recently purchased a Lifegard Aquatics 8.3 gallon AIO setup to start a new nano reef. My pico build is still going strong, so I would like to switch things up and create a new and more interesting build now that I've gotten my feet wet. Based on the size of the back filtration compartment, the main portion of the tank is about 6-7 gallons. If possible, I'd like to find a cool/interesting invertebrate that I could focus on for this build. I would be willing to attempt a species only tank, biotope, or anything that is more challenging than your average hermit crab or cleaner shrimp. I seem to be doing well with soft corals, LPS, and macroalgae so I would like to incorporate those in the new setup if at all possible. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I know this is an old thread, but could you measure your Lifegard 8.3, as I am thinking of buying one. The Lifegard website says the measurements are 11.75 x 11.75 x 13.75 inches. Since it is elevated by an inch, that gives 7.6 gallons total, rather than the 8.3 gallons advertised. I wanted to make sure the website measurements are correct. Can you verify?
