So my amazing wife Melissa Lopedota purchased me a brand new Red Sea GS 1000 for my 42 birthday. This will be our first build thread we have been collecting critters for the past 18 months in our 120g cube & 40g frag tank. Long story short, we have been reefing for nearly 20 years. Our home along with all of our reef friends and koi were lost to a massive wildfire a few years back. We are currently living in an apartment while daily I'm building the house. We are hoping to move into the home and have the tank up in Late June.

Still looking for:
kessil 360x / 500x
70.5 rms rail
Red Sea reef mat 1200
40w uv
apex controller system
Gyre xf 330,350 cloud edition
Skimmer

Moving along the tank should be here at the end of the week. Our floor living room floor where the tank goes sits 5’ off the ground. With approximately 3500# I would like to add supports. Attached is the location of the tank. The wall is approximately 11’

Under the home during the build I put in a rat slab/ thin concrete layer. I used 2.6” PT on the bottom 6.6 DF in the corners and 2.6 DF for the remainder of the support.

It’s been a bit since we had time to focus on the new tank we were in a realy bad accident on the way to CFM. Tank has arrived and will hopefully be delivered tomorrow. Here is a photo of the sump room in its barest form.

So after a little time we have epoxied the concrete floor, anti bacterial semigloss paint shop sink and cabinet. The blue tape is outlining the space for a 24.48” frag tank that we will hopefully acquiring in the near future. The blue rectangle represents the size of the 2 adaptive reef control boards that will be arriving next week. I will be moving the board location to the right next to the cabinets. Thinking of incorporating a small removable work surface above the sump between the frag tank and the sink. Would appreciate any mixing station ideas we still have a good amount of space.
Happy Reefing
Nick & Mel
