SCIENTIFIC NAME –Amphichaetodon howensis

COMMON NAME - Lord Howe Butterflyfish

SIZE – 7" (18 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 75 US Gal. (284 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING– The Lord Howe Butterflyfish consumes soft coral polyps, tubeworm tentacles, small crustaceans, sessile invertebrates, sponges, and tunicates. In captivity, offer a varied diet for carnivores, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, vitamin enriched brine shrimp, and finely chopped marine fare.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – Not recommended.

CAPTIVE CARE – Little information is available on maintaining this species in captivity. Only one specimen is recommended per tank with adequate hiding places, and care should be taken to acclimate this species to aquarium lighting (Use subdued lighting during acclimation).
