Losing color?

Hi,

What would cause soft coral to lose color? I have this nice size piece of finger leather coral, it was always a pink/purplish. Now is it is almost all white. What would cause this to change color and is it possible to bring it back to the color it is supposed to be?

what lighting cycle are you using. how often do you do 10% water changes?
