Losing fingers?

is this splitting to propagate or is there something wrong with the coral water parameters are good alkalinity a little low at 7 but slowly increasing

Your title had me concerned for your health . So long as you see polyps it should be fine. Leathers will shed which will make them close up for a while but they bounce back bigger and better

yes its shed its skin several times my understanding is its a sign of it growing. my worry is the spot where the white tissue is showing and the finger portion looks like its falling off

What is lighting and flow like for it? Most of these want more flow than we give them and the perk up.

Even if this one finger falls off I would not be overly concerned. Something may have nipped it, don't know, but that looks healthy and even if it fell off I would think it would recover without issue.

im running reef factory lighting and a nero 3 ai prime power head. was thinking about cutting it off and fragging it
