Lost power!!

Excellent news! amazing pics man. Really scary what mother nature is capable of. Makes you humble.

my favorite pic is the boat in the middle of the golf course... makes me ponder how that got there

WOW!!!! I like the NO WAKE zone with the boat out in the field. Thanks for sharing the photos. I remember when Isabel hit us hard! It was a war zone. You guys and gals up there are in our prayers.

At a diner with internet finally! Allentown, Pa here says we wont have power for a week. Running a powerhouse 2000watt generator return pump heaters and vortech mp40 on my 75g. Hopefully power is back on soon everything seems ok but i might have to keep refilling gas 4-5 times a day -.- 5gals x 3.60= 18$ a day to keep the reef !

Best of luck to all of you on the coastline!

But look at the $ you have invested! Praying things go well for all of you over there!

omg times like these ill forget about everything and just worry about the safety of ourselves and out love ones... please take cares and i hope everyone get through this without any harm. =(

5 people died down the block from me on the shore line, they did not listen to the mandatory evacuation.., friends house is gone, local waterfront restaurants are gone, and other friends/ local neighbors lost cars.

I'm on a hill and the actual water didnt make it to my house luckily, but power is said to be out for 5-7 days from what I'm hearing. Everything is a muddy slop or underwater.

I'm hoping the power comes sooner but its horrible down the block from me, of all the water front properties are done.

No gas stations or anything, I am at a friends and running home every few hours to run an inverter for 30 minutes at a time. I got 200 feet of cords and doing what I can. If its long ill probably just have to give this stuff away.

im charging my ups for overnight.

I live just north of Chicago, they are having 25 ft waves breaking from the lake and we were blasted with 55mph+ winds all day, they are also talking about flooding from the lake i saw the warning map but dont remember how sevear it was. I can not imagine what it was like being hit by the storm. VA getting hit with 29" of snow is just unbelievable. Good luck and God bless everyone! Stay safe and keep us updated when you get a chance!

Our thoughts and prayers are will all who have been affected by Sandy!

Hey all, thanks for the prayers.

Like I have said earlier we are on a hill so my house avoided the flooding. Tons of trees down and roof damage but that's the least of our worries.

We still have no power, I took a walk around and saw roughly 20 downed poles in a 4-5 block radius. It's just a mess. From the looks of things we probably will be another few days without power but I don't know how the circuit works so well have to see.

Problem here - temps dropping, no gas at all anywhere, no cell service or home phone. (have to drive 15 minutes for me to get service by my inlaws. Luckily my inlaws had a 5 gallon container of gas for me.

I can't believe the damage. My power loss is nothing compared to what these people are going through within feet of me.

It really is a shame these people didnt evacuate, many deaths could have been prevented.

I'm running my inverter every hour for 30 minutes and rotating(return pump, 2 bulbs out of my 6 t5, and my mp10) my temps are down to 71 and I can't run the heater. Going to boil some water tonight and try to float in sump.

I've lost 4 corals so far and everything's looking very poor, no PE and everything is very pale looking .. Well see what happens.

I wish I wasn't currently disabled because these people could definitely use help.

I didn't want to take any photos, because i didnt want to offend anyone since i visually look like i could be helping but physically i cant.
