Low alkalinity - help!

That’s sounds right… reef crystals is high in alk… I’m having to change salts to bring mine down a bit..
Sorry, I should have clarified. The newly mixed water has dKH of 10.7 so hopefully means that test kit is ok. i did a 10% water change with this water, and then rechecked tank water. DKH is 6.1. I plan to check alk daily, add baking soda solution in small quantities, and do weekly water changes to hopefully get dKH above 7. Does that sound like a good approach?
