No I'm adding more alkalinity than calcium do u think that's why or I should raise magnesium to 1500 to see if it stabilizes balance

You said calcium was not keeping up, that would seem to be why. :)

No alkalinity isn't keeping up calcium ok

That's what always happens. You underdose both, and alkalinity is what appears to drop first.

If you are at 130 pm alkalinity and 420 ppm calcium, and let calcification take place with no supplements, alk could drop to 113 ppm while calcium would only drop to 410 ppm (which you might not even see with a hobby kit). That's just the math of alkalinity and calcium in seawater, since seawater has far more calcium in it than alkalinity.

Hi randy !

I used ozone for a number of years, and documented the start of using it in the third article below, but no longer do so the way the article indicated.

Out of concern over potential HLLE and related issues in fish, I no longer use ozone except once every few months I trickle in a small amount to a skimmer overnight to clear the yellowness of the water. I cannot be sure whether it is that or stopping using Marineland Black Diamond GAC (now using ROX), but I do not have such issues any more.
