Low PAR acropora?

Was going to get a healthy mix of corals for Black Friday. Acros were something I wanted but didn't think I could get till I read somewhere that certain Acros do well in low light.

Can anyone make reccomendations for acros or maybe strains that do well in sub 200 PAR, closer to the 150 range?

it does well in higher light imo, but also a bit more sensitive that other ‘torts’ - I think there are different species all labeled as torts.

Possibly, I can't remember the exact name but this is a smooth deep water acro in my tank in about 175 par.

I think many acros will live in that par range. They may not be as brightly colored, or keep the color you buy them as though. Flow also plays a major part in that as well, imo.

Pc rainbow does good in low par. Garf Bonsai can do pretty good at 200 par.

Ime most acros will do fine with 150PAR, it’s more about shifting color - such as pc rainbow goes red under high par and loses the “rainbow”, Cali and myagi tort are similar with color shifts and strawberry shortcake is rebound for color changes - but again most will grow and do well in 150 or so.

Kermit the Frog from Tidalgardens can grow in 150 PAR.

Many will do fine at 150-200. You will just struggle to get reds and certain colors. By deepwater, you are looking for smoother skin typically. Hawkins enchinata, red dragon, lokani, ect. Yellow can be hard to bring out with low par. Goldenrod anacropora does that easily. For red/orange digitata is an option.

Sorry autocorrect. It’s renowned for color changes not rebound. I personally found shifting colors with it approx 300 par.
