Have you calibrated your ph probe? That sounds like a probe out of calibration .

You would want to get Kalkwasser (calcium hydroxide).

The particular garden product may have too many impurities and it’s likely calcium magnesium carbonate.

Slow down. Do not do anything "in a hurry". Nothing good happens fast in the hobby.

Point a fan at the sump to help.

Are you dosing?

I see nothing in the OP to indicate they are measuring pH electronically.

I meant 7.5 on api and 7.05 on ph probe. But realized the calibration liquid was outta date and I left the window open all day and ran the skimmer line outside and got some new liquid and we are sitting at 7.9. Thank y’all for answering so quick

pH is something that you should never chase. It can and will swing up and down throughout the day for many reasons. If your Calcium and Alkalinity are within range stop worrying about it. I have not checked mine in well over 20 years and all is just fine. Trying to hit a target number by using a buffer will just cause your Alk to spike and cause way more problems than a "low" pH reading will.

Nothing is fast when it comes to saltwater. Go slow, find root cause and Slowly start corrective action.
