I love the build quality of my tank. The glass is thick, euro braced on the top for extra support. I thoroughly looked over the seams and glass for bubbles or imperfections. Nothing I can complain about.
I finished up my plumbing today. Started to add water. Will post pictures soon.

Get the cycle going Tank is filled and the cycle has begun. For the most part the lights are going to remain off for the next few months. Maybe.... Maybe a month, might add a bunch of mollies for a while. I have a lot in my pond outside. We will see.
Plumbing is basic. I'm a fan of the K.I.S.S. model.
Using this Klir 7 filter basket, I'm not a fan of filter socks. And when I do want to clean up the water I can just throw filter floss into the basket. I do need to fix the plumbing and raise the Klir bracket up about 2 inches to help with drainage throw it. Should work great

These button fixes are going to work perfect for popping panels of the canopy in and out. I am debating whether I want to use white acrylic panels or PVC board. Going to try to look locally this weekend to see what matches with my stand the best.

Photo dump because I'm digging this new scape.
Picked up a large TSA bill Murray piece for $80 from a local reefer, says the usually sell here on reef2reef so shout out to you. The colony was about the size of my hand. Going to look great in the tank.
Also placed an order with with another online vendor. Ordered three colonies of acans and two scolis. Going took great in this tank when it's ready.

The canopy is slowly coming together.
Using PVC board panels, they have button fixes on the inside so I can pop the panels in and out. Need to figure out what kind of cabinetry hardware I want on the outside of the panels to be able to pick them off. I'm going to put a rubber gasket on the border of the aluminum to block light from bleeding out.
Here's some shots of what I've got going in the 75 gallon. Things are looking primed to go into this display!
I got in the scolis and micromussa "acan" colonies. Will post some pics when they are settled!

This will be my second peninsula tank. I divided the living room and dining room in my little one bedroom apartment a few years ago with an 80 deep blue. Loved the tank. Hated my red sea.
The tank has exploded with pods. Also adding bristle starfish, asterina starfish, and bristleworks as I can find in them in my current display. Getting closer!

Still have a lot of work on the canopy to do. But one day at a time!
The gap between the top of the water line and canopy is something I didn't take into account. I don't like how I can see up in the canopy space/lights glaring through. Thinking I'm going to find some type of black adhesive tape/trim to put there and block it out.

3/22 updates! Added a black vinyl trim tape to the ridge that was bothering me, love the look. Still have to work on the white vinyl on the silver aluminum.
Also installed my lights today. The 75 is without a light!.
So tomorrow is move in day! Going to transition over. The tank is in the ugly phase for sure. Adding my live rock/corals will help combat that. I plan on draining 150 gallons from the new build. Going to refill with the water from my 75 and another 75 gallons of fresh saltwater.
