Good Morning all,
Friday evening i purchased an Octospawn, did a fw dip and put it into the tank. Its in a a low flow area with medium to low light (BC 29 with stock lighting).
3/4 of it has been extending out over the last couple of days (not quite fully extended yet but its getting there. The other 1/4 must've been damaged at some point because it never extended and when i woke up this morning was looking pretty mushy. I got my siphon out and was able to suck the dead tissue out of the skeleton. I have heard conflicting information on wall type corals and regrowth into empty skeleton. Will it or will it not? Or will it end up laying new skeleton over it and growing over eventually?

Im not planning on doing anything at all for a couple weeks until the coral is getting full extension and i know its happy.

Steven
