I picked up this lps last weekend. It is a nice red flesh with yellow mouth that has a little green and a streak of color going into the body. It is a small frag with only one mouth so I can't figure out really what it is. The lfs worker was not sure. I asked to see the mother colony as this lfs grows out and frags but this piece was ordered in by them as a random lps frag pack.

It seems to be doing well. It is currently on the sand bed.

Was wondering if anyone could help with ID?

Looking like a challice coral of some sort for sure

I hope so. I can't imagine what it would look like if it grew out to a plate size with its current color pattern.

I posted the same ID thread on rc and got a response of possibly acan echinata, which I initially thought possibly when I first saw it at the lfs, but it appears to have a different skeletal structure than an echinata.

It looks like it has acclimated well. I'll keep target feeding the one mouth it has to try to get it to grow out. I have four chalices on the sandbed that could use the feeding as well.

I have a chalice (not sure of the "name") that looked very similar before it started growing. Here is a current picture.

This was sold to me as a rainbow chalice. Looked almost exactly like yours when I bought it.

Wow. Very nice. How long did it take to get that size?

Mine is currently in low/moderate flow, next to the front of the glass not shaded but outside from being directly under the light, 4x bulb T5

If it were laying flat I would say it's about 4 inches around now and I bought it a year ago at a half-inch. I hade it in about the same place you have yours. Close to the glass under 4 bulb T5 ( 2 blue+ 1 coral+ 1 Aqua blue special)

Front to Back-
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
KZ Fiji Purple
ATI Blue+

So you have a little more light than me I think with that aquablue special.
