Lobophyllia or Acanthastrea Pachysepta?

I have had this coral for a good 3 years now I think. It is indestructible! Not only that, it nukes any and everything that it touches! It puts out these filaments that attach to other corals and its all over from there. It even nuked a Galaxea colony I had. So I was bored the other day and googled about lobo's fighting and the first thread was on reef2reef and everyone agreed that his coral was not a lobo, and that it was a Acanthastrea pachysepta. So that got me thinking about mine. It has an orange mouth, with pink flesh that has green edges. What do you think?

thank you. the photo in the article showing it attack another coral is exactly how this one behaves. i have an enchinita that did this too. so maybe it is an acan. ty

for a colony of this size, yes

Sure does. I would encourage you to take an image of the colony with the feeding tentacles out, as fair warning to anyone who might want it so they can see how much room it needs. I would hate to see a new thread from a buyer who is suddenly losing their master Scoly that was doing fine on the sand next to the new killer patchy!

I totally get what you're saying man. I am pretty particular about who gets my 'pets'. No different that the cat if you ask me. It has needs that need to be met. I keep a good buffer zone around this thing. But most recently my goldenrod acropora colony came loose and fell on it. Nuked about half of it before I saw it. Luckily the GoldenRod has come back to life really fast. I dont even really weant to give this to a local store because they will probably cut it up into 20+ frags. I only ever see 1 head of this in people tanks, never a colony.
