I have a 15-gallon LPS-dominated tank. I am currently playing around with flow and trying to determine if I even need a wavemaker in the first place, and if so, rightsizing it.
I have noticed that when I have only the return pump running (no wavemaker), my LPS corals are extra fluffy. So this makes me wonder, does that mean they are happier and I should leave them with less flow? When I have the wavemaker on (even on the lowest setting - currently trying out a Jebao SLW-10) they are not as fluffy.
See pictures below. The ones that become really extra fluffy are: Hammers, Octospawn, Trachyphilia, Duncan, Blastomussas, Candy Cane, Bubble Coral, Acans
